Charity Requests – Introduction
We get requests nearly every week from a wide variety of charities for donations or support. Sadly, we can’t help everyone, and so we’ve decided that this year we will nominate one local charity to support directly through the Phoenix Shop in Earlsdon and one other charity to support via our Victoria Jane Photography business.
The charities that we will be supporting if/when an appropriate opportunitiy arises are: Macmillan Cancer Support via Victoria Jane Photography and Myton Hospice via the Phoenix shop.

Coventry Myton Hospice Appeal
What do they do?
They provide high quality palliative care and support for people (and their families) who have been diagnosed as being terminally ill. You can find out much more by reading their web site here; Coventry Myton Hospice Website
How will we support them?
Coventry Myton Hospice opened it’s doors in November 2009 with £5M pounds being raised for the build. It will now need £2M per year to operate.
We aren’t cash-rich so we can’t simply ‘give money’. However, along with everyone in Coventry who uses a printer we can make a significant contribution by collecting empty cartridges. Some will be useful to us or to other companies in our industry.
If we can refill them for our own customers we will donate money directly to the charity for every cartridge that is useful to us. The amount we donate will depend on the cartridge but the amount they get will be significantly more than many advertised cartridge recycling schemes.
Others won’t be useful to us but some specialist companies will still want them. We will electrically test, clean and prepare these cartridges, send them off to other companies. Again, we will make a very fair donation to Myton Hospice based on the proceeds from these transactions.
Which cartridges will raise the most money?
They need to be ink cartridges, not laser cartridges at this stage.
We will be able to make more donations from;
